Sting Animation for Gaelphobal
Gaelphobal (which translates as 'Irish Community' in Gaeige, the native tongue in Ireland) are an All-Ireland organisation who help and support Irish language communities. They needed a sting animation for their social media channels that would also be appropriate for branding or advertising videos.
I decided on the concept of integrating the Gaelphobal logo and animating it with a particle effect which would give the impression of the 'all-Ireland' aspect of the organisation. I achieved this particle dissolve effect using Blender. The second part of the animation shows some of the particle logos (which are modified map pins) descending on a map of Ireland.
I rendered the 2 seperate animations in Blender as PNG Sequences (this would ultimately give me more control in post) and combined them, as well as some other assets in After Effects. The brief called for a range of different aspect ratios for all social media eventualities, as well as various versions, which were converted in Adobe Media Converter.
